“Why is there a need for online dating?”
Because not everyone is lucky enough to find The One in the same area as them.
Take a client of mine, for example. We’ll call him John for now. He thought he would be able to find a wife as he reached his prime years but in truth, not all of us are that lucky in love.
In the last decade, lots of people have been finding dating difficult. Some blame it on the current culture, high standards, and unrealistic expectations of local women. But whatever the cause may be, the bottom line is that a substantial number of American men are single and lonely.
Anyone over the age of 30 and are still single have a hard time looking for a woman, therefore they turn to online dating.
John was the same. He met a girl from overseas through a dating site and ended up marrying that woman. They also started off doing online dating like many do nowadays. And because the population of single American men is in the millions, many resort to meeting and dating someone from a foreign country. And nothing brings people together faster than the Internet.
True, it’s not always all roses. Relationships, whether online or not, need effort from both sides in order to make it work. And in regards to those in a relationship with someone online, the effort needs to be doubled.
If you’re struggling to find a date then it might be best if you stretch out your feelers. Ask around, ask your married friends (especially those who have had success with online dating), join a mixer, register on a dating site or maybe join a singles tour. You have plenty of options.
