Are they? I’d have to ask my husband, because I’m pretty sure that wasn’t the case when we first met.
Kidding aside, I do think the word ‘obsessed’ is a bit too extreme, and it doesn’t quite communicate the reality of the situation.
Yes, a lot of foreign men like Asian women, but their reasons can vary because foreign men don’t operate as a hive mind.
The way I see it, some are attracted to Asian women because of certain physical attributes. That happens. People can have preferences when it comes to looks, after all.
Others, my American husband included, can be drawn to the culture that shapes Asian women, making them great potential girlfriends and wives in the eyes of certain men.
Because of Asian traits like being close to family and being committed to our values, a lot of non-Asian men can find Asian women desirable when they’re looking for their partner in life.
