“What is your opinion on couples who do not want to have children?”
For couples to decide things as crucial as this, they must have deeper reasons.
Consider the following:
Personal choice.
Some couples simply don’t have the urge to raise kids. No buts or ifs.
Financial freedom.
Raising a child is expensive. If they are certain that their income is not enough to raise a child, then why have one? Choosing not to have children is better than raising them in poverty. They don’t want to suffer nor do they want their future children to suffer as well.
Environmental impact.
Some couples aren’t healed yet. By this, I mean they are not yet fully sure how to be a parent. They need more time to learn and be ready to raise a child. Another aspect of this is when they experienced a bad childhood to the point where they aren’t open to having children.
Medical reasons.
Some couples may not be capable of having a child due to health or medical reasons.
Career.
This is one of the most common reasons for not raising children. Some couples prioritize their career because they are not ready to let go of opportunities.
