Because people are fickle and sometimes can’t tell between love and lust.

True love exists in how long it’s lasted. When your grandmother, who has been married to your grandfather for over 50 years, still does her best to take care of him despite maybe complaining about it, that’s true love.

When your partner does little things to make you comfortable because they remember what you like and don’t like, that’s true love.

When you smile and eagerly listen to them talk about something you don’t care much about because you love watching them get excited, that’s true love.

True love is rare because a lot of us these days are driven by aesthetics instead of what really matters. If it stood against time and still stayed the same, then it’s actual love.
